Great gift idea
My dad is an expert bread maker, so it was hard to find a bread-related product he didn't already have or didn't want. But after some searching, I found this very cool, multi-purpose bread serving tray with crumb catcher, which lifts out to be cooling rack. Taking the chance he may already have one tucked away somewhere, I ordered it and had it sent....and bingo. Not only did he not have one, he loves it! It's the perfect size for serving at the table, is well-constructed and made of quality wood and it really does catch the crumbs.
works well but some warping
I've had this product for a few months now. It is nicely constructed and works well. However, some of the top slats have warped slightly, so the cutting surface is no longer even. Occasionally this makes it hard to completely cut through the bread at the bottom.
Perfect board for capturing the crumbs!
Great quality. Really nice wood and perfect fit of board in the tray. Very happy with this gift for my hubby. His large farmer's market loaves of bread were creating a crumb mess all over the counter.. no more!
